The weighbridge can be divided into U-shaped steel weighbridge, channel steel weighbridge, I-shaped steel weighbridge, and reinforced concrete weighbridge (commonly known as cement weighbridge) according to its structure.
1. Comparison between channel steel and U-shaped steel.
Why choose to make a U-shaped steel weighbridge instead of a channel steel weighbridge? Here are some tips for you:
①Let's first talk about the channel steel scale body. It is mainly composed of channel steel as the main beam, connected one by one by transverse partitions, and then sealed with a sealing plate at the bottom.
The U-shaped steel scale body is supported by U-shaped steel at the bottom based on the principle of bridges, without sealing plates or formwork partitions.
Compared to the same model of scale body, the weight of the channel steel scale is greater than that of the U-shaped steel scale body. The cost is higher than the U-shaped steel scale body. The channel steel scale body has a sealing plate for tension, while U-shaped steel does not.

③Channel steel belongs to the third generation weighing products. The bottom of the channel steel has two supporting beams, and the middle is empty, so the supporting performance is worse. Simply put, the steel structure ratio is not very reasonable, and the channel steel scale is equivalent to using steel plates to piece together. But in terms of the weight of the scale body, the same tonnage of channel steel is heavier than U-shaped steel, which is the truth.
 
U-shaped steel is the fourth generation product of industrial scales, and the equipment required for making U-shaped steel scales is a bending machine. The U-shaped steel weighing platform adopts 5-7 U-shaped main beams (designed according to tonnage and table size) to ensure the overall rigidity of the weighing platform. The specifications of hot-rolled ordinary I-beam supplied through agreement between the supply and demand parties are 12-55 #. Due to the relatively low use of I-beam in the automotive weighing equipment industry, domestic and foreign peers mainly use U-shaped steel and channel steel. I will not analyze it in detail here.
3.The biggest difference between reinforced concrete weighbridge (commonly known as cement weighbridge) and fully electronic weighbridge, digital weighbridge, and analog weighbridge lies in the difference in the structure of the scale body. The former is a reinforced concrete structure, while the latter is an all steel structure. The instruments, junction boxes, and printer sensors used in these weighbridges (commonly known as car weighbridges) are generally the same, with similar working principles and lightning protection facilities. The construction of the foundation of the weighbridge is the same, and there is no essential difference in functionality. However, the production cycle of cement scales is much longer than that of full steel structures, so if cement scales are to be used as weighbridges, it is best to negotiate with the manufacturer early to avoid delaying the time when the weighbridge is put into use.
Advantages of cement scale: It fundamentally solves the problems of scale body corrosion, reduced accuracy, and shortened service life caused by rain, sun, acid, alkali corrosion, and thermal expansion and contraction of the structure during the use of all steel structure weighbridge. It has corrosion resistance, structural stability, self weight, accurate positioning, no deformation, and no maintenance.
Suitable for industries such as public weighing stations, chemical enterprises, ports and docks, and the refrigeration industry that have high requirements for anti-corrosion functions.
